HistoryThe Most Recently Developed Mountain East Of The Rockies. With its first season in 1991, Whitetail Resort is the youngest and most recently developed ski and snowboard resort east of the Rocky Mountains. With nearly 1,000 feet of vertical drop and the region’s only high speed detachable quad chairlift, Whitetail stands apart as the first class Mid-Atlantic ski and snowboard resort it was conceived to be.
